At a time when vulnerable Memphians navigate narrowing pathways to employment, and employers search for hidden talent, community-based organizations play a vital role in reshaping the path forward. Memphis nonprofit leaders often make the righteous case to employers that they should prioritize recruitment from the communities they serve. But could this message be more effective if crafted with the collective in mind? Could local leaders wield power and influence employer decision-making through stronger solidarity? Join RiseKit, Code for America, Seeding Success, and the Assisi Foundation for this collaborative workshop focused on building community, and creating a more unified approach to employer engagement. By the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to:

• Execute a playbook for a coalition approach to meeting industry demand;
• Build a stronger case for community hiring based on the the skills, credentials, and competencies of the collective talent pool;
• Leverage RiseKit to deliver value for both participants and employers, while leveraging data to influence systems change
